Description
This Browning BPS Field Model is a pump-action shotgun chambered for 12-gauge 2 3/4 inch and 3 inch shells, configured for general field use. It features a 28-inch blued steel barrel with a ventilated rib and a single front bead sight. The receiver has a blued finish with a gold-plated trigger and a bottom-ejecting action. The firearm is fitted with a checkered, gloss-finished wood stock and forend, and it includes a brown rubber ventilated recoil pad marked BROWNING. Key markings include the serial number 08717RN152 stamped on the right side of the receiver. Barrel markings specify BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q. MADE IN JAPAN and BPS SPECIAL STEEL 12GA-2 3/4 inch AND 3 inch FIELD MODEL-28. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The shotgun is in used condition, showing significant scuffs and scratches on the right side of the buttstock. The blued finish on the receiver and barrel rib exhibits areas of surface wear, light scratches, and faint spotting. The bore is bright. The pump action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The wood furniture remains structurally sound despite the noted cosmetic blemishes.
