Description
A lot of 43 .44 S&W Special centerfire cartridges accompanied by two partial boxes and approximately 30 loose bullets. The collection includes 11 CCI Blazer cartridges featuring aluminum casings and jacketed hollow point bullets, housed in a modern black and red Blazer Ammunition box. The remaining 32 cartridges are a mix of brass-cased ammunition with various headstamps including Western 44 S&W SPL, W-W 44 S&W SPL, and G.F.L. 44 SPECIAL, featuring both lead round nose and jacketed projectiles. These are contained within a vintage Western Cartridges box originally labeled for 246 grain Lubaloy coated bullets. Also included are approximately 30 loose copper-colored bullets. Key markings include the headstamps CCI 44 S&W SPL, WESTERN 44 S&W SPL, W-W 44 S&W SPL, and G.F.L. 44 SPECIAL. The vintage Western box shows significant age-related wear, staining, and structural repairs with black tape, while the Blazer box remains in good condition.
Condition report:
The 11 CCI Blazer cartridges appear in good condition with clean aluminum casings. The 32 mixed cartridges show varying degrees of tarnish and oxidation on the brass casings and lead projectiles consistent with age. The Blazer ammunition box is in good structural condition with minor shelf wear. The vintage Western box is in poor condition, exhibiting heavy staining, edge wear, and extensive repairs with black tape. The loose bullets show some surface oxidation. We have not function-tested this ammunition.
