Description
This single-shot bolt-action rifle is a Remington Model 510 Targetmaster chambered for .22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle cartridges. The rifle features a blued finish on the barrel and receiver, with the bolt body exhibiting case coloration. It is fitted with a smooth wood stock and features an adjustable rear leaf sight and a fixed front blade sight. Key markings on the barrel include REMINGTON ARMS CO., INC., ILION, N.Y. / MADE IN U.S.A. — PATENTS PENDING, THE TARGETMASTER / REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. / MODEL 510, and Remington / REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. / .22 SHORT, LONG / OR LONG RIFLE. A small stamp reading D J 2 is present on the barrel near the receiver. The stock is finished with a checkered black buttplate bearing the Remington logo. As this is a single-shot model, no magazine is required or present. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued metal components are in good condition, retaining most of their finish with some minor wear on the edges. The bolt body shows visible case coloration. The wood stock displays scattered light dings and some finish mottling or spotting on both sides of the buttstock and forend. The checkered black buttplate is well-preserved. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm.
