Description
This lot features a single-action revolver manufactured by A. Uberti in Italy and imported by Cimarron Firearms Co., representing a reproduction of the Colt Model 1877 Lightning. The firearm is configured with a 4.75-inch blued barrel and a six-shot cylinder, complemented by a secondary interchangeable cylinder. The frame displays a vibrant case-hardened finish, while the furniture consists of smooth wood birdshead-style grips. Key markings include the importer and manufacturer designations on the top of the barrel, transcribed as CIMARRON F.A. CO. FREDERICKSBURG, TEXAS and MANUFACTURED BY A. UBERTI, ITALY. The left side of the barrel is marked 32 W.C.F. for the primary caliber, and the frame displays patent dates PAT. SEPT. 19. 1871, JULY 2. 72, and JAN. 19. 75. The serial number K07724 is stamped on the underside of the frame, matching the provided factory box. The additional cylinder is marked CAL .32 H&R MAG. This lot includes the original factory box, owner’s manual, and associated paperwork. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The revolver is in excellent, like-new condition. The blued finish on the barrel and both cylinders is deep and uniform with no visible wear or thinning. The case-hardened frame retains vibrant, high-contrast colors throughout. The bore is bright with sharp, clean rifling. The action appears to function correctly with a tight lockup and smooth timing, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The smooth wood grips are in excellent condition, showing no handling marks or abrasions. The original factory box shows only minor shelf wear.
