The rifle is set in a figured wood stock designed with a cheekpiece, a dark wood forend tip, and a Pachmayr Presentation Model White Line rubber recoil pad. Mounted to the receiver is a Bausch & Lomb Balvar 8A scope with a standard crosshair reticle, secured by a Buehler Orinda, CAL. one-piece base. Key markings transcribed verbatim include WINCHESTER – TRADE MARK – on the left side of the receiver and the serial number 429162 on the right side of the receiver. The barrel is marked 270 and the scope base is marked BUEHLER ORINDA, CAL. No magazine is present with this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish on the barrel exhibits significant surface pitting and oxidation along its entire length. The receiver retains much of its blued finish with some minor surface wear and light oxidation. The wood stock remains in good condition, showing only minor handling marks and light surface scratches. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The bore was not inspected. The Bausch & Lomb scope features clear optics and an intact reticle.
