Description
This Remington Model 34 is a bolt-action rifle chambered for .22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle cartridges, featuring a tubular magazine fed through the underside of the barrel. The rifle is configured with a smooth one-piece wood stock and a curved metal buttplate. Verbatim markings on the top of the barrel include REMINGTON ARMS CO., INC., ILION, N.Y., MADE IN U.S.A. — MODEL 34 along with U.S. PATENT NUMBERS 1,908,035, 1,913,840, and 1,924,692. The left side of the barrel features the Remington logo and the caliber designation 22 SHORT, LONG OR LONG RIFLE, while the right side of the barrel near the receiver shows a DE code. The firearm is fitted with a Western Field 4×15 scope, model 60-1204, which displays a clear crosshair reticle, and it retains its original adjustable rear leaf sight and front blade sight. No serial number was observed on this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal finish has aged to a mottled brown patina with areas of thinning and light surface oxidation throughout the barrel and receiver. The bolt handle and trigger exhibit significant finish wear, and the metal buttplate shows surface oxidation. The wood stock remains in good structural condition with scattered minor dings, scratches, and impressions consistent with field use. The Western Field scope optics are clear. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm.
