Description
This New England Firearms (NEF) Excell Auto is a semi-automatic 12-gauge shotgun manufactured by Sarsilmaz in Turkey for H&R 1871, LLC. The firearm features a 28-inch blued barrel with a vented rib and a brass bead front sight, chambered for 2 3/4-inch or 3-inch shells. The receiver is finished in a matte black and is fitted with a checkered walnut stock and forend. The right side of the buttstock features an inset silver-tone medallion depicting a duck head over an outline of Texas, inscribed with TEXAS DUCKS UNLIMITED. Key markings on the left side of the receiver include NEW ENGLAND FIRE ARMS, EXCELL AUTO, H&R 1871, LLC, the serial number SZ500174, MADE IN TURKEY, and SARSILMAZ. The right side of the receiver is marked SA1-129. Barrel markings specify H&R 1871, LLC – GARDNER, MASS., U.S.A. and EXCELL AUTO – 12 GA. – 2 3/4 INCH OR 3 INCH. This lot includes the original factory box labeled as model SA1-131, an owner’s manual, a cable lock, a magazine plug, a choke tube wrench, and three additional choke tubes in plastic containers marked IM Choke.
