Description
This Savage/Anschutz Mark 12 is a single-shot bolt-action target rifle chambered for .22 Long Rifle. The firearm is configured with a heavy blued barrel measuring approximately 26 inches and a matching blued receiver. The rifle is set into a smooth-finished wood target stock featuring a black composite buttplate and includes a multi-point brown leather target sling with brass fittings. Sighting is handled by a hooded front globe sight and a rear micro-adjustable aperture sight mounted to the receiver. Key markings include the model designation SAVAGE / ANSCHÜTZ MARK 12 and the manufacturer information SAVAGE ARMS WESTFIELD, MASS. U.S.A. Barrel markings specify CALIBER 22 LONG RIFLE. While proof marks are visible on the barrel and receiver, a serial number was not clearly legible during inspection. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish on the barrel and receiver is in good condition, showing light surface mottling and minor wear. The wood target stock exhibits typical handling marks and small dings consistent with use. The hooded front and rear aperture sights are intact with some surface oxidation present on the adjustment knobs. The leather sling shows significant wear, including cracking and white surface residue. The bore was not inspected.
