Description
Browning Model 26 Limited Edition Hunting Heritage Pheasant folding lockback knife manufactured in Japan. The knife features a single drop-point blade with a two-tone finish consisting of a mirror-polished primary grind and darkened upper flats. The handle is constructed with figured burl wood scales secured by four flush pins and includes an inset brass-toned oval medallion depicting a pheasant in flight. It is fitted with a single polished nickel silver bolster. The obverse tang is stamped BROWNING 1 OF 3000 and the reverse tang is stamped MODEL 26 JAPAN. The knife is accompanied by its original fitted wooden presentation box featuring the Browning stag logo and an interior velvet-lined lid with an oval lithographic print of a pointer dog and pheasant. Two wooden triangular display stands are included.
Condition report:
The knife is in excellent near-mint condition showing no evidence of sharpening or field use. Minor surface handling marks are present on the bolster and wood scales. The presentation box and display stands show minimal wear consistent with storage.
