Description
This Chinese Norinco Type 56 SKS is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in 7.62x39mm, featuring a 20-inch barrel equipped with an aftermarket multi-port muzzle brake. The firearm retains a standard blued metal finish on the barrel and receiver, contrasted by a bright polished bolt carrier. The furniture consists of a traditional varnished wood buttstock and a modified black polymer vented upper handguard. Key markings include the three incised Chinese characters 五六式 followed by the factory code 0140 inside a rectangle and the serial number 7803813 D on the left side of the receiver. Matching partial serial numbers 03813 are visible on the bolt carrier, the magazine floorplate, and stamped into the right side of the buttstock. The right side of the receiver bears the stamped import mark SKS 7.62×39 NORINCO CHINA POLY U.S.A. ATL. GA. The rifle has been modified with a receiver cover scope mount supporting a Barska 4×32 Contour optic with a crosshair reticle, and it includes a pair of elastic-linked lens covers. The original folding bayonet and cleaning rod are missing from this example. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
