Lot 1567:
Description
A vintage manual ammunition reloading hand press manufactured by C-H Tool and Die, now known as C-H Precision. The tool features a heavy cast iron or steel body finished in original red paint. The lever handle is fitted with a red ribbed plastic grip manufactured by Hunt Wilde Corp. of Ohio. The unit includes a black synthetic primer guard or shroud mounted to the main frame. The tool is designed for portable or bench-top reloading operations and features a threaded top opening for standard reloading dies and a movable steel piston for shell holders. The main body and handle are marked with a circular logo containing a stylized letter H set within a larger letter C, with the model number 205 embossed beneath the logo. The end of the red handle grip is embossed with the text HUNT WILDE CORP. OHIO. This unit is being sold as a standalone press without dies or additional accessories.
Condition report:
The press is in good, used condition. The original red painted finish shows expected wear, including scuffing, chips, and paint loss along the edges and contact points. There is visible surface oxidation and light rust on the unpainted cylindrical steel piston, the inner mechanical components, and the pivot pins. The black synthetic primer guard is present and intact. The lever mechanism and pivot points are in functional working order, though the mechanical parts would benefit from cleaning and lubrication.
