Lot 157:
A Lot of 70 Items: Mixed .30-30 Winchester Ammunition with Federal Boxes
Sold for: $55
Description
This lot consists of a collection of 70 ammunition items, comprising 69 live cartridges and one spent casing, chambered for .30-30 Winchester. The collection is housed in four vintage Federal brand cardboard boxes, including two Federal Hi-Power and two standard red-and-white rifle cartridge boxes. The ammunition is of mixed manufacture, featuring a variety of headstamps including F C 30-30 WIN, W-W SUPER 30-30 WIN, R-P 30-30 WIN, and REM-UMC 30-30. Most rounds are configured with lead-tipped soft-point bullets. The items are organized within five red plastic Federal cartridge carriers and one white plastic carrier.
Condition report:
The cardboard packaging shows moderate shelf wear, including creasing, edge fraying, and a vintage retail price tag. The ammunition varies in condition; while many rounds remain clean, several brass casings and lead projectiles exhibit significant green oxidation and verdigris. The primers appear intact on the live rounds, though the ammunition is sold as-is for collectibility and has not been function-tested.
