Description
This is a Harrington & Richardson Arms Co. top-break hammerless revolver chambered in .38 S&W. The firearm is configured with a five-shot cylinder and a 3.25-inch barrel featuring a fixed semicircular front blade sight and a top-break latch with an integrated rear sight notch. The metal surfaces are finished in nickel, while the trigger and trigger guard retain a dark, blued finish. The revolver is presented with its black checkered and scroll-patterned hard rubber grips detached; please note that the grips are missing the attachment screw. Key markings include the top of the barrel rib marked HARRINGTON & RICHARDSON ARMS / WORCESTER, MASS. U.S.A. and the left side of the barrel marked 38 CAL. S.&W. CTGE. The serial number 101733 is clearly stamped on the bottom of the grip frame and is also visible on the rear face of the cylinder. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The nickel finish shows overall light scratches, some dulling, and scattered small spots of oxidation and pitting, notably on the frame and around the hinge mechanism. The blued finish on the trigger and trigger guard shows minor thinning. The bore was not inspected. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The detached hard rubber grips show minor wear and are missing the mounting screw.
