This lot features a Thompson/Center Arms Contender, a break-action single-shot pistol chambered in .44 Magnum. The firearm is equipped with a 10-inch blued barrel and a receiver featuring factory-engraved scrollwork and cougar head motifs on both sides. The furniture consists of a black checkered synthetic forearm and a matching pistol grip with a textured surface for improved handling. Sighting is provided by a ramped front blade sight and a Williams adjustable target rear sight mounted to the frame. Key markings include the manufacturer and location roll-marked on the barrel as THOMPSON : CENTER ARMS and ROCHESTER, N. H. with the caliber designated as .44 MAG on the right side. The serial number 156120 is stamped on the top of the frame behind the hammer. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish on the barrel shows visible thinning and mottling, particularly along the sides. The receiver and Williams rear sight components exhibit light surface oxidation and speckling. The synthetic forearm and pistol grip are in good condition with minor handling marks and well-defined checkering. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm.
