Shilen Model HS. 693 Bolt Action Rifle .222 Shilen with 24 Inch Barrel
Sold for: $800
Description
This Shilen Model HS. 693 is a precision bolt action rifle chambered in .222 Shilen, specifically configured for benchrest or precision varmint shooting. The firearm features a heavy-contour stainless steel barrel measuring approximately 24 inches in length, which is mated to a black-finished receiver. The furniture consists of a custom hardwood thumbhole stock with a prominent ergonomic pistol grip and a smooth, unpadded butt. The rifle is designed for use with optics, featuring a full-length black Picatinny-style scope rail mounted to the receiver, and it lacks fixed iron sights. Prominent markings include the manufacturer name SHILEN and the caliber 222 on the barrel, with the receiver side also bearing the SHILEN name. Documentation identifies this as a Model HS. 693 with serial number 340376. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm for safety or accuracy. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in good overall condition. The stainless steel barrel shows light surface scuffing and minor handling marks consistent with use. The black finish on the receiver remains largely intact with only faint wear at the edges. The hardwood stock is well-preserved, exhibiting minor dings and scuffs primarily on the underside and near the grip. The bore was not inspected, but the exterior condition suggests a well-maintained firearm. The bolt action appears to cycle smoothly, though the rifle has not been live-fire tested.
