Lot 229:
A Trio of Accurate 5744 Double Base Smokeless Propellant 1 Pound Bottles with 2 Lbs Of Powder Total
Sold for: $60
Description
This lot features a trio of Accurate 5744 double-base smokeless propellant containers, originally sold as one-pound units in black plastic rectangular bottles with red screw-on caps. Accurate 5744 is an extremely fast-burning, extruded rifle powder engineered for versatility, specifically suited for reduced loads in various rifle calibers and large-capacity black powder cartridges. While the labels indicate a net weight of 1 lb. (454 g.) per bottle, this specific lot is noted to contain 2 Lbs Of Powder Total. Front labels prominently display the Accurate brand logo with the slogan Our Name Says It All and the 5744 model designation above the text Double Base Smokeless Propellant. The reverse labels provide technical details, stating 5744 is an excellent choice for use in reduced loads for many rifle calibers and in large capacity obsolete black powder calibers such as the .45-70Gov, .45-90/-110/-120 and the .50-90 through .50-120 Type calibers. The barcode on the rear transcribes as 0 94794 00201 2.
Condition report:
The containers remain structurally sound with no evidence of leaks or cracks. The labels exhibit shelf wear consistent with age, including wrinkling, surface abrasions, and some staining. One bottle features a partially detached and folded label on the reverse side. Two bottles retain legacy retail price stickers of $15.39. The propellant is assumed to be live and in usable condition, though the contents have not been laboratory tested for chemical stability or specific weight distribution across the three bottles.
