Description

Two manual arbor presses, including a No. 1 unit attributed to Greenerd. This lot consists of a quantity of 2 manual arbor presses of varying sizes and origins. The larger unit features the raised cast characters NO. 1 on the frame and is attributed to Greenerd based on the frame design and marking. It is constructed of cast iron with a rack-and-pinion mechanism and features a textured black finish over remnants of light green paint. The No. 1 size typically indicates a 1-ton pressing capacity. The second unit is a smaller manual press with a silver hammertone finish and a sticker identifying it as Made in CHINA. Both tools utilize a manually operated rack-and-pinion system with side-mounted handles to drive a steel ram. No serial numbers, manufacturer nameplates, or safety certifications are visible on either piece. The operational status of these units is untested.

Condition report:

Both presses are in used, fair condition. Significant surface oxidation and rust are visible on the cast iron bases, steel rams, and handles of both units. The painted finishes exhibit notable wear, staining, and loss. Both items will require thorough cleaning and lubrication prior to being put into service.
