Description
This Thompson/Center T/C Compass is a modern bolt-action sporting rifle chambered for the .300 Winchester Magnum cartridge, designed for long-range hunting and precision applications. The firearm features a 24-inch blued barrel with a threaded muzzle and knurled thread protector, utilizing 5R rifling for enhanced accuracy and ease of cleaning. The matte blued receiver is factory-fitted with two-piece scope mounting bases and houses a three-lug bolt with a 60-degree lift. The rifle is mounted in a durable black synthetic stock featuring textured grip panels on the pistol grip and forend, integrated sling swivel studs, and a soft rubber recoil pad. Key markings include the model designation T/C COMPASS and SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MA on the receiver, alongside the serial number THK7669. The barrel is clearly marked 300 WIN MAG and 5R RIFLING. This lot includes the original factory box with a matching serial number label, the safety and instruction manual, a cable lock in its original packaging, and a red factory barrel tag; the magazine is not present. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle appears to be in new-in-box or like-new condition, showing no significant signs of handling or wear to the blued finish. The bore is bright with sharp, well-defined 5R rifling. The black synthetic stock is in excellent condition with no visible scratches or impact marks. The bolt action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm.
