Description

This Remington Model 11 semi-automatic shotgun is chambered in 12-gauge and is built on the classic humpback steel receiver design. The plain barrel measures 27 1/2 inches in length and features a fixed choke. The metal surfaces show an original blued finish that has worn to a mostly grey and silver patina with scattered mottling and light surface pitting throughout the receiver and barrel. The furniture consists of a checkered wood pistol grip stock and a matching forend, both finished with a high-gloss coating and showing minor handling marks. Key markings on the top of the barrel include the verbatim transcription MANUFACTURED BY THE REMINGTON ARMS CO. ILION. N.Y. U.S.A. and BROWNINGS PATENTS OCT. 9, 1900. DEC. 17, 01. SEPT. 30, 02. JUNE 16, 03. The barrel is also marked FULL near the receiver to indicate the choke. The serial number 30703 is stamped on the underside of the receiver. The shotgun is equipped with a single front bead sight and a brown Mershon De Luxe slip-on rubber recoil pad. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The shotgun is in fair to good overall condition, showing signs of significant age and field use. The blued finish is heavily worn, presenting as a mostly grey and silver patina with scattered mottling and light surface pitting on the steel components. The checkered wood pistol grip stock and matching forend exhibit a high-gloss finish with some minor handling marks and dings but no major cracks. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The Mershon recoil pad shows some age-related wear but remains functional.
