Description

This lot consists of three double-cavity bullet molds manufactured by Lee Precision. Each tool features machined aluminum mold blocks paired with steel sprue plates and hardware. The blocks are mounted to integrated handles consisting of steel shanks and turned wooden grips secured with metal ferrules. One mold is stamped with the maker name LEE and the numerical code 90300, which corresponds to a .358 caliber, 158-grain Round Nose Flat Point (RF) projectile. A second mold is stamped LEE and 358-150-SWC, indicating a .358 caliber, 150-grain Semi-Wadcutter (SWC) projectile. The third mold is identical in design and construction to the marked examples and is attributed to the same maker. These tools are designed for casting lead projectiles for ammunition reloading.

Condition report:

The items are in fair to good condition. Two of the molds exhibit significant surface rust and oxidation on the steel sprue plates, pivot bolts, and handle shanks. The aluminum blocks on these units show minor pitting and surface oxidation. The third mold shows less wear with only minor surface oxidation on the steel components. The wooden handles across the lot show varying degrees of finish loss, staining, and scuffs consistent with industrial use. All mechanical actions appear functional. One mold currently contains a previously cast lead projectile.
