Iver Johnson American Bull Dog Double Action Revolver .32 Caliber with 2.5 Inch Barrel Antique
Sold for: $95
Description
This Iver Johnson American Bull Dog is a double action revolver chambered in .32 caliber featuring a 2.5 inch octagonal barrel and a five shot fluted cylinder. The firearm is constructed with a solid frame and a nickel plated finish. The furniture consists of black hard rubber grips with a molded design depicting an eagle head over a set of arrows which is a characteristic feature of Iver Johnson production for this model. The revolver is equipped with an exposed hammer a spurred trigger and a fixed front half moon blade sight. Key markings include the model designation AMERICAN BULL DOG stamped clearly on the top flat of the barrel. No serial numbers are visible on the exterior surfaces of the frame or barrel. Note – As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check.
Condition report:
The nickel plated finish is in poor to fair condition exhibiting widespread surface oxidation pitting and significant plating loss across the barrel cylinder and frame. The bore is likely dark with evidence of pitting consistent with the exterior metal surfaces. The double action mechanism appears to function correctly although the firearm has not been function tested for timing or live fire safety. The black hard rubber grips remain intact with moderate wear to the molded eagle design and checkering but no visible cracks.
