Lot 347:
A Cased Pair of RCBS 8mm Mauser Reloading Dies
Sold for: $40
Description
This RCBS two-die reloading set is designed for the 8mm Mauser (7.92x57mm Mauser) caliber and is housed in a signature green plastic hardshell case. The set consists of two individual steel dies featuring a polished finish, knurled sections for improved grip, and threaded bodies equipped with locking rings. The components include one full-length sizing die with an integrated decapping pin assembly and one bullet seating die. Key markings include the manufacturer name RCBS embossed on the case lid and a side label printed with 8mm Mauser. Verbatim markings incised on the dies themselves include 8MM MAUSER on the sizing die and 8MM MAUSER SEATER on the seating die. A barcode inventory label is affixed to the exterior of the case lid.
Condition report:
The set appears to be in good, used condition with minor surface wear and light scuffing consistent with handling and storage. The polished steel finish remains largely intact across both dies with no significant signs of corrosion or pitting. The threads and knurling show no evidence of damage or cross-threading, and the locking rings are present. The green plastic case is functional with a secure latch and intact hinges, though it bears an adhesive inventory label on the lid. The internal decapping pin is present and appears straight.
