Description

This Ruger GP100 is a robust double-action six-shot revolver chambered in the versatile .357 Magnum caliber, engineered for durability and consistent performance. The firearm features a 4.2-inch barrel with a full-length underlug and a brushed stainless steel finish across the frame and cylinder. It is equipped with black textured rubber finger-groove grips that bear the Ruger phoenix logo. The sighting arrangement consists of a windage and elevation adjustable rear sight and a pinned ramp front sight with a black blade. Verbatim markings on the right side of the barrel include RUGER GP100 and 357 MAGNUM, while the left side is marked READ INSTRUCTION MANUAL, RUGER, and NEWPORT, NH USA. The right side of the frame is stamped with the serial number 178-36091 and the Ruger logo. This lot is accompanied by its original gray plastic Ruger-branded hard case with a factory label identifying it as model 01705 and catalog number KGP-141, along with an instruction manual, a yellow plastic cylinder safety disk, and a small metal pin. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The revolver is in very good overall condition, with the brushed stainless steel finish exhibiting only minor surface scuffs and light handling marks. There is some carbon residue present on the cylinder faces and the interior of the frame crane, which is consistent with previous use. The bore is bright with sharp, well-defined rifling. The action appears to function correctly in both single and double-action modes with a secure cylinder lockup, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The rubber grips remain in excellent condition with no significant wear or smoothing of the textured areas.
