Lot 391:
A Lot of 60 Rounds of Winchester and Federal .338 Winchester Magnum Ammunition
Sold for: $80
Description
This lot features a total quantity of 60 rounds of .338 Winchester Magnum centerfire rifle ammunition contained within three original retail boxes. The collection consists of two 20-round boxes of Winchester Super-X 225-grain soft point cartridges and one 20-round box of Federal Premium 250-grain Nosler Partition cartridges. The Winchester ammunition is presented in two packaging variations: one older Winchester-Western box and one white and orange box, both of which are marked with the item code X3383. The Federal Premium box is marked as item P338B and contains Nosler Partition projectiles. Verbatim markings on the cartridge headstamps are transcribed as W-W SUPER 338 WIN MAG. These cartridges are configured with brass cases and are designed for heavy game hunting applications, utilizing high-performance projectiles for controlled expansion and deep penetration.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in good, live condition. The brass cases show minor surface tarnish consistent with age but no signs of corrosion or structural compromise. The lead-tipped projectiles remain in good condition without significant oxidation or deformation. The cardboard packaging exhibits moderate shelf wear, including surface scuffing, small tears at the box edges, and adhesive residue on the face of the Federal box.
