Lot 410:
Sold for: $55
Description
A collection of three western-style ropes consisting of two twisted fiber lariats and one braided rawhide reata. The first lariat is a light cream-colored multi-ply twisted fiber rope featuring a printed manufacturer label for Fast Back Ropes. It is held in a coil by blue plastic ties. The second lariat is a tan-colored three-strand twisted fiber rope with a partial label identifying it from ranchropes.com. Both fiber ropes are of modern commercial manufacture, likely nylon or synthetic blend. The third item is a traditional braided rawhide reata featuring a multi-strand flat plait in variegated natural tan and brown tones.
Condition report:
All items are in used, field-tested condition. The fiber ropes show moderate surface soiling, localized fraying of the strands, and wear to the manufacturer labels. The rawhide reata exhibits surface darkening, typical wear to the braided edges, and general suppleness from use. No significant breaks or structural failures are observed.
