Lot 422:
Sold for: $45
Description
This lot consists of 1 contemporary push dagger featuring a pattern-welded Damascus steel blade. The blade is designed with a spear-point profile and includes decorative notched choils at the base. The T-handle is composed of green and blue multi-colored wood laminate scales separated by thin brass and dark spacers. The handle is secured to the tang with silver-tone pins and a central decorative mosaic pin featuring a brass housing and a blue-filled circular pattern. No maker marks, tang stamps, or inscriptions are visible on the blade or handle. The knife is accompanied by a brown leather sheath featuring white contrast stitching, a belt loop, and a retaining strap with a metal snap button embossed with a five-pointed star motif.
Condition report:
The knife is in good overall condition. The Damascus steel blade exhibits a well-defined pattern-welded texture, though light surface oxidation and discoloration are visible within the recessed choils and at the junction of the blade and handle. The wood handle scales are secure and properly fitted. The leather sheath shows light wear and scuffing consistent with storage and handling.
