Lot 454:
A Lot of 142 Hornady .475 Linebaugh Ammunition and Brass Cases
Sold for: $85
Description
This lot consists of a collection of 142 items of .475 Linebaugh ammunition and brass components, primarily manufactured by Hornady. The collection includes 31 jacketed hollow point cartridges, 33 lead-cast bullet cartridges, and 78 brass cases. The items are organized across four storage containers: a green plastic 64-round case, a white foam tray, a black plastic insert, and a cardboard insert tray. Accompanying packaging includes two red Hornady 20-round boxes and one smaller vintage-style Hornady box. The green storage case features handwritten and printed labels for .475 Linebaugh, .50 AE, and .500 Linebaugh, as well as a label reading CAL BUL 475 Hornady. All visible brass bases are clearly marked with the headstamp HORNADY 475 LINEBAUGH. The jacketed projectiles are consistent with Hornady XTP hollow points, while the unjacketed lead-cast bullets feature a flat-nose profile.
Condition report:
The ammunition and brass components are in good overall condition. The brass cases show a bright finish with minimal tarnish or surface wear. The lead-cast projectiles exhibit minor surface oxidation typical of age. The cardboard packaging shows moderate shelf wear, including scuffing, edge fraying, and some compression to the corners. The plastic and foam storage inserts are intact and functional.
