Description

This Colt Model 1908 Pocket Hammerless is a semi-automatic pistol chambered in .380 ACP, designed as a compact and streamlined sidearm for personal defense. The pistol operates with a semi-automatic action and is accompanied by one single-stack detachable box magazine. The firearm features a high-polish blued finish on the slide and frame, accented by a vibrant nitre blue finish on the trigger. The furniture consists of checkered black hard rubber grip panels featuring the Colt name and the Rampant Colt logo. Sights include a fixed front blade and a rear notch integrated into the slide. Key markings include the left side of the slide which is stamped PATENTED APR.20.1897 DEC.22.1903 and COLT’S PT. F.A. MFG. CO. HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A. with a circular Rampant Colt logo at the rear. The right side of the slide is marked AUTOMATIC COLT CALIBRE 380 HAMMERLESS. The left side of the frame is stamped with the serial number 11274, and the trigger guard bears a VP proof mark in a triangle. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The pistol is in very good overall condition, retaining much of its original high-polish blued finish. There is moderate thinning and holster wear evident at the muzzle and along the sharp edges of the slide and frame, along with light handling marks and minor surface scratches. The nitre blue finish on the trigger remains vibrant and well-defined. The checkered black hard rubber grips are in excellent condition with crisp checkering and no significant chips or cracks. The included magazine shows significant finish wear and thinning throughout its body. The bore was not inspected. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm.
