Description
This lot features a single Deutsche Werke Ortgies semi-automatic pistol chambered in 7.65mm (.32 ACP). The firearm is configured with a 3.4 inch barrel and a blued steel finish. The furniture consists of smooth wood grip panels featuring inset brass-colored medallions with the stylized DW logo. The pistol is equipped with a grip safety and fixed iron sights. Key markings include the slide designation Ortgies Patent. / Deutsche Werke Aktiengesellschaft, / Werk Erfurt. and the serial number 43073. Barrel markings specify CAL. 7,65m/m visible through the ejection port. German crown over N nitro proof marks are present on the right side of the slide, the barrel, and the frame above the trigger. The front strap of the grip frame is stamped with the serial number 43073 above the word Germany, indicating an export model. This firearm is missing its magazine. A spare firing pin is included in a small plastic bag. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish exhibits typical wear for its age, including thinning on the high edges and across the slide. There is evidence of scattered light oxidation and minor surface pitting on the metal components. The wood grips remain intact with minor dings and handling marks consistent with use. The bore was not inspected. While the action appears to function correctly, we have not function-tested this firearm. No magazine is included.
