Lot 61:
A Lot of 28 Ammunition Items and Casings in 6mm-06 Wildcat Caliber
Sold for: $10
Description
This lot consists of 17 loaded cartridges and 11 empty brass casings housed in a blue translucent MTM Case-Gard plastic ammunition box. The items appear to be hand-loaded rounds where .25-06 Remington brass has been necked down for the 6mm-06 wildcat caliber. The loaded cartridges feature copper-jacketed bullets, with some displaying exposed lead soft points and others featuring purple polymer tips. Key markings on the brass headstamps include 25-06 REM and WW SUPER, identifying the original manufacturer as Winchester-Western. The lid of the plastic container includes handwritten notes specifying 6mm-06, Hodgdon Retumbo, and Hornady Interlock, likely referring to the caliber, powder type, and bullet brand used in the reloading process. The loaded rounds are fitted with un-struck silver-colored primers, while the empty casings contain spent primers.
Condition report:
The brass casings and cartridges show typical signs of handling and light oxidation consistent with age and storage. The empty casings are spent and would require resizing and cleaning before further use. The loaded ammunition appears to be hand-loaded and should be considered for component value only. The blue plastic MTM Case-Gard box shows minor surface scuffing and scratches but remains fully functional with a secure latch.
