Description
This Smith & Wesson SW1911PD is a semi-automatic pistol chambered in .45 AUTO, featuring a lightweight Scandium alloy frame and a Commander-length slide. The firearm is equipped with a 4.25-inch barrel and a stainless steel barrel bushing. The metal surfaces exhibit a uniform matte black finish, complemented by front and rear slide serrations and an external extractor. The frame features a checkered front strap and a serrated mainspring housing, fitted with double-diamond checkered wood grip panels. Sighting is handled by a set of Novak’s three-dot low-mount sights. Additional features include a skeletonized hammer and a skeletonized aluminum trigger. Key markings include the Smith & Wesson logo followed by Smith & Wesson and SW1911PD on the left side of the slide, while the frame is marked CAUTION – CAPABLE OF FIRING WITH MAGAZINE REMOVED. The right side of the frame bears the model designation SW1911PD, the serial number JRE8697, and the manufacturer’s location S&W SPFLD, MA U.S.A. The barrel hood is stamped 45 AUTO. This lot is accompanied by its original blue plastic factory hard case with a matching end label, two 8-round ACT-MAG magazines, an owner’s manual, a bushing wrench, and factory literature. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The pistol is in excellent overall condition, retaining nearly all of its original matte black finish with only minimal evidence of handling or faint thinning on high edges. The bore is bright with sharp, well-defined rifling. The checkered wood grips are crisp with no notable damage or wear to the diamonds. The action appears to function correctly with a tight slide-to-frame fit and a smooth trigger pull, though we have not function-tested this firearm.
