Description
This lot consists of 5 vintage automatic fly fishing reels, all of which are marked Made in U.S.A. The group features a silver-toned Shakespeare Automatic No. 1821 Model GD and two silver-toned Wolverine No. 1695 reels produced by the Kalamazoo Tackle Co., specifically a Model D and a Model E. Completing the collection are two black-finished Model 61 reels; one is identified as a Wards Sport King No. 60-6422, while the other is unbranded and bears a white inventory sticker numbered 13052. The reels are constructed with spring-winding brackets and release levers. Several units remain spooled with vintage fishing line.
Condition report:
The collection shows moderate to heavy signs of use and age. Visible surface oxidation, pitting, and dirt are present on the metal components. The black-finished reels exhibit significant paint loss and scratching. Mechanical components have not been tested for operational functionality.
