Description
This Parker-Hale Safari De Luxe is a bolt action rifle chambered in .308 Winchester, built on a commercial Mauser-style action. The firearm features a blued barrel equipped with a ramped blade front sight and an adjustable folding leaf rear sight, while the receiver is fitted with two blued scope rings for optic mounting. The rifle is mounted in a Monte Carlo-style walnut stock characterized by extensive custom relief carvings, including a buck in a mountain scene on the right buttstock and deep oak leaf and scroll motifs on the forend, pistol grip, and left buttstock. The stock is completed with a contrasting wood forend tip, a pistol grip cap with decorative spacers, and a Pachmayr White Line rubber recoil pad. Verbatim markings on the barrel include 308 WIN 2.015, BNP 19 TONS PER square symbol, and PARKER-HALE LTD. BIRMINGHAM ENGLAND. The receiver rail is engraved Safari DE LUXE and the left side of the receiver ring bears the serial number C 1615 S alongside a British crown BNP proof mark. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal components retain a strong blued finish with minor thinning noted on the high edges and the bolt handle. The custom-carved walnut stock is in good condition, showing scattered light scratches and handling marks consistent with field use, though the relief carvings remain sharp and distinct. The action appears to function correctly, but we have not function-tested this firearm. The bore was not inspected.
