Description

This single Clerke Technicorp 1st model is a double-action/single-action revolver chambered in .32 S&W. Configured as a compact defensive firearm, it features a 2.5-inch barrel with a fixed front blade sight and a grooved rear sight integrated into the top strap. The revolver is constructed with a chrome-plated finish over a cast metal frame and is fitted with reddish-brown marbled plastic grips featuring a checkered pattern and a diamond-shaped escutcheon. Verification of the manufacturer and model is provided by markings on the right side of the frame, which include the characters CLERKE 1st inside a banner logo, followed by Mfg. by CLERKE TECHNICORP and Santa Monica, California. The right side of the frame at the barrel junction is stamped 32 S&W to specify the caliber. The bottom of the grip frame bears the stamped serial number 054906. The cylinder is a five-shot capacity and the action utilizes a spur hammer with a knurled thumb piece. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The chrome-plated finish shows overall moderate use, characterized by visible surface scratches, minor pitting, and areas of flaking, particularly around the cylinder, muzzle, and frame edges. The reddish-brown marbled plastic grips remain in good condition with light handling marks, and the checkering remains distinct. The bore is not easily inspected due to the design but the cylinder chambers show some carbon residue. The action appears to function correctly in both single and double-action modes, and the cylinder locks up reasonably well, though we have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition.
