These cartridges are loaded with 62-grain full metal jacket projectiles featuring a green-painted tip indicating a steel penetrator core, with a factory-rated muzzle velocity of 3060 feet per second. The ammunition is marketed as a target range pack. The cartridges feature brass casings with visible heat annealing marks at the neck and shoulder. Prominent markings on the exterior packaging include Winchester, 5.56mm 62 Grain, 3060 FPS Full Metal Jacket, M855 Green Tip, and 200 Round Range Pack. Visible headstamps on the cartridges are marked with L C and 2 2, alongside a NATO cross symbol, indicating production at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant in 2022.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears in very good condition with clean brass casings and intact primers. The factory-applied green paint on the projectile tips is mostly uniform across the visible lot. The brass shows characteristic factory annealing at the case neck. The original cardboard packaging exhibits some shelf wear, including minor blunting of the corners and a strip of clear adhesive tape across the top closure.
