Description
This lot features a single wooden factory stock for a Ruger 10/22 Carbine, originally configured for the .22 LR chambering. The stock retains its original hardware, including a curved black buttplate and a black barrel band secured with a hex screw. The furniture shows significant modification; while the left side retains a dark glossy finish with scattered scratches and dings, the right side has been heavily sanded or stripped, exposing the light-colored natural wood grain underneath. There are no manufacturer markings, serial numbers, or proof marks visible on the wood. A single mounting hole for a sling swivel stud is present on the underside of the buttstock. This item is a component only and is missing the barrel, receiver, trigger assembly, and magazine.
Condition report:
The wooden stock is in poor to fair condition due to extensive finish loss on the right side from sanding. The remaining finished areas show surface scratches and handling marks consistent with use. The metal and synthetic hardware show wear at the edges and contact points. This item is a non-serialized wooden stock; therefore, there is no bore or mechanical action to report.
