Description
This lot consists of a complete AR-15 pattern upper receiver assembly chambered for .223 Remington and 5.56x45mm NATO cartridges. The unit features a 16-inch black finished barrel equipped with a standard A2-style birdcage flash hider. It is fitted with a LaRue Tactical 10.0-inch free-float quad rail handguard which provides extensive Picatinny rail space for the mounting of accessories. The upper receiver includes a complete bolt carrier group, charging handle, forward assist, and ejection port cover. Verbatim markings include the LARUE manufacturer designation on the left side of the receiver, while the handguard is marked with the LaRue logo, LaRue Tactical, ©2004 APPI, PAT. PENDING, and 10.0. The bottom rail of the handguard is engraved with the motto LIVE FREE OR DIE. The assembly is topped with Magpul MBUS polymer flip-up front and rear backup sights.
Condition report:
The black anodized finish on the receiver and handguard shows minor wear and small scuffs consistent with light use. The barrel exterior is in good condition, although the A2 flash hider shows some minor surface oxidation. The bore is bright and maintains sharp rifling. The bolt carrier group and charging handle function smoothly when manually cycled.
