Description

This lot consists of 160 rounds of Russian-manufactured 7.62x39mm rifle ammunition, presented in eight individual boxes of 20 rounds each. The collection features three distinct types of packaging and projectile configurations. The top row contains two white boxes identified by the markings HUNTING CARTRIDGES 7.62×39 mm, 122 GR. FMJ, STEEL CASE, NON-CORROSIVE, and Made in Russia. The middle row includes two boxes featuring hunting graphics labeled as 7.62 x 39 Hunting Rifle Ammunition. The bottom row comprises four boxes of specialized hollow-point rounds, marked HUNTING CARTRIDGE 7,62×39-8M3 Effect and TY 7271-018-07504347-96, bearing the PCT SA02 certification and the diamond-shaped GIS proof mark. The cartridges are constructed with grey-finished steel cases and copper-jacketed projectiles. Technical specifications for these cartridges vary between standard 122-grain full metal jacket loads and the 8M3 Effect fragmentation-prone hollow-point projectiles, all utilizing non-corrosive primers and Berdan-primed steel cases.

Condition report:

The ammunition and its original packaging are in good overall condition. The cardboard boxes exhibit moderate shelf wear, including softened edges, minor staining, and some adhesive residue from previous retail tags. Visual inspection of the exposed cartridges reveals them to be live rounds with projectiles properly seated. The grey steel cases show minor, localized instances of surface oxidation and discoloration consistent with long-term storage, but they remain structurally sound without evidence of deep pitting or case neck splits. The copper jackets on the bullets are clean with only minor tarnish noted.
