Description

This Harrington & Richardson Auto-Ejecting Second Model is a double-action top-break revolver chambered in .38 caliber, designed for personal defense and concealed carry. It features a 3.25-inch barrel with a 5-shot cylinder and a nickel-plated finish. The revolver is equipped with checkered black hard rubber grips that display the Harrington & Richardson target logo. Key markings located on the top of the barrel rib include the manufacturer and patent information transcribed as HARRINGTON & RICHARDSON ARMS COMPANY. / WORCESTER MASS. U.S.A. PAT. OCT. 4 ’87 MAY 14 & AUG. 6 ’89. The full serial number B 5 6 1 3 5 is stamped on the underside of the frame, and the partial serial number 1 3 5 is visible on the rear face of the cylinder. Mechanical inspection reveals that the trigger does not reset on hammer release, indicating an internal spring or sear issue that requires attention. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The nickel-plated finish is in poor to fair condition, showing significant flaking, scuffing, and areas of surface oxidation throughout the frame, barrel, and cylinder. Light pitting is present on several metal surfaces. The hammer and trigger have developed a dark patina with visible surface rust. The bore and cylinder chambers exhibit oxidation and signs of heavy use. The checkered hard rubber grips are intact but show moderate wear and smoothing to the checkering. While the top-break mechanism operates, the action is mechanically compromised as the trigger does not reset on hammer release. We have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition.
