Sold for: $180
Description
A lot of 4 blued steel detachable box magazines designed for use with Remington long-action semi-automatic and pump-action rifles, including the Models 740, 742, 760, 7400, and 7600. These magazines are constructed with a standard four-round capacity and feature steel followers and base plates. Three of the magazines are configured with the early-style side-mounted release button, while the fourth magazine features a later production multi-caliber stamp and a smooth base plate. Key markings include the first magazine stamped .270 WIN. within a pointed-end rectangular border. The second and third magazines are both stamped 30-06 within a rectangular border. The fourth magazine bears a multi-line stamp reading .280 REM., .25-06 REM., 30-06 SPRG., .270 WIN., and .35 WHELEN. All four magazines show evidence of prior use and are suitable for a variety of Remington Gamemaster and Woodsmaster series rifles.
Condition report:
The magazines exhibit a blued finish showing varying degrees of wear from use and long-term storage. Visible signs of age include thinning to the finish, handling scratches, and areas of light surface oxidation with some minor pitting, primarily on the examples marked 30-06. The followers and internal springs appear to be under appropriate tension, and the base plates are securely attached. The side-mounted release buttons on three of the magazines appear to function correctly when depressed.
