Description
This lot features 100 rounds of .44 Magnum centerfire ammunition presented in two 50-round boxes. The first box contains Herter’s Select Grade ammunition featuring 240 grain soft point projectiles loaded into brass cases with gold-colored primers. The box is marked Herter’s Select Grade, Brass Case, .44 Magnum, and 240 gr SP, with the cartridges bearing the verbatim headstamp HRTRS 44 REM MAG. The second box consists of Magtech centerfire cartridges featuring 240 grain, or 15.60 gram, semi-jacketed soft point projectiles in brass cases with silver-colored primers. Markings on this box include Magtech, 50 Centerfire Cartridges, and 44 Rem-Mag 15,60g (240gr.) SJSP (44A), while the headstamps are verbatim marked 44 REM MAG CBC. All ammunition is organized within plastic trays. The Magtech box has the word HUNTING handwritten in black marker on the front panel. Both boxes show signs of standard shelf wear consistent with age and storage.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in good, serviceable condition with bright brass cases and no visible signs of corrosion, oxidation, or projectile setback. Primers are properly seated and clear of debris. The original cardboard packaging shows moderate shelf wear, including scuffing at the corners, minor creasing, and small tears at the tuck-in flaps. The Magtech box has significant black marker notation on the exterior.
