Description
This Savage Model 93R17 is a bolt-action rimfire rifle chambered in .17 HMR, designed for precision varmint hunting and target applications. The firearm is equipped with a 21-inch stainless steel heavy barrel featuring spiral fluting for increased surface area and cooling. The stainless steel receiver is housed in a reddish-brown laminate thumbhole wood stock that includes three horizontal cooling vents on the forend, a textured pistol grip, and a black rubber recoil buttpad. It is fitted with a Cabela’s Pine Ridge 3-9×40 scope featuring a duplex reticle and target-style adjustment turrets. Verbatim barrel markings include SAVAGE MODEL 93R17 CAL. .17 H.M.R. ONLY followed by MFG. BY SAVAGE ARMS (CANADA) INC. LAKEFIELD, ONT. CANADA and IMPORTED BY SAVAGE ARMS INC. WESTFIELD, MA U.S.A. 01085. The serial number 1612037 is stamped on the left side of the receiver. This lot includes one five-round detachable metal box magazine and a set of elasticized scope lens covers. Condition report:
The overall condition is excellent, showing minimal signs of handling or wear. The stainless steel finish is bright and clean throughout, with no visible scratches, pitting, or oxidation. The laminate stock remains in top-tier condition with a smooth, even finish and no notable dings or scratches. The bore is bright with sharp, well-defined rifling. The bolt action and trigger mechanism appear to function smoothly and correctly, although the firearm has not been function-tested with live ammunition. The optic lenses are clear and the turrets provide positive adjustments.
