Lot 1341:
Sold for: $150
Description
This Rohm Model RG17 is a compact over-under, double-barrel derringer pistol chambered in .22 Long Rifle featuring a tip-up break-action design and a single-action external hammer. The three-inch barrel assembly is fitted with a fixed front blade sight and a textured top rib. Key markings include the manufacturer and location on the top rib transcribed as ROHM GMBH SONTHEIM / BRENZ and the caliber designation on the left side of the upper barrel as CAL 22 lr. The right side of the barrel assembly is marked MADE IN GERMANY. The frame bears the serial number 73510 on the left side along with standard German proof marks including an eagle over N, an Ulm proof house grid shield, and the date code 67 indicating a 1967 proof year. The firearm is finished in a black bluing and is equipped with checkered black polymer bird’s head grips and a spur-style trigger integrated into the frame. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The pistol is in good used condition, showing moderate surface wear and silvering to the finish on the muzzle, the edges of the frame, and common high points. The black finish remains mostly solid on the flat surfaces of the barrels and frame. The bore is not fully visible but the break-action lockup is tight and the manual extractor appears functional. The single-action hammer and trigger mechanism appear to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition. The checkered polymer grips are well-preserved with sharp texturing and no significant chips or cracks.
