Description

This lot consists of ten semi-automatic pistol magazines chambered for the .40 S&W cartridge. The majority of the collection is comprised of factory magazines for the Beretta Model 96 series, the .40 caliber variant of the Model 92. The magazines feature steel construction with various finishes including traditional bluing and polished steel. Technical features include staggered-stack designs with floorplates in both steel and polymer. Several magazines are equipped with witness holes on the rear or sides to track round counts, with stamped numerals such as 4, 6, 8, 10 or 5, 10. Verbatim markings on the magazine bodies include P.B. CAL .40 S.& W.- MADE IN ITALY, P.B. CAL .40 – MADE IN U.S.A., and P.B. CAL .40 S.&W. – MADE IN ITALY. One magazine is fitted with a polymer baseplate bearing the Ruger phoenix logo over the characters S R and the code S2.

Condition report:

The magazines display overall good used condition with standard signs of handling. The blued steel finishes show minor thinning and insertion wear. One polished steel magazine exhibits moderate surface oxidation and light rust spotting, with similar minor oxidation present on a few of the blued examples. The polymer baseplates show light scuffing but remain structurally sound. Followers move smoothly and springs appear to retain appropriate tension. The mechanical reliability in a firearm has not been tested.
