Description

This lot features two contemporary fixed-blade knives constructed with Damascus steel. The first is a skinner knife in the Alaskan ulu style, characterized by a deep-bellied blade with a prominent wavy pattern. Its handle is composed of a cream-colored synthetic bolster and a marbled resin pommel featuring swirls of orange, pink, and yellow, accented with brass pins and a decorative mosaic pin. This knife is accompanied by a dark brown leather sheath with stamped scrollwork and white contrast stitching. The second knife is a push dagger with a double-edged spear-point Damascus steel blade. The T-shaped handle is made of red-stained laminated wood scales, black synthetic bolsters, and brass spacers, with inset decorative mosaic pins. It is accompanied by a teardrop-shaped brown leather sheath with stamped borders. No maker’s marks or tang stamps are visible on either piece.

Skinner blade length: approximately 4 inches
Push dagger blade length: approximately 3.25 inches.

Condition report:

Both knives appear to be in excellent, unused condition. The Damascus patterns are sharp and well-defined, and the blade edges show no signs of sharpening or use. The leather sheaths are in very good condition with minor signs of storage wear.
