Lot 1390:
A Lot of 50 Remanufactured .22 Hornet Ammunition Cartridges
Sold for: $40
Description
This lot consists of 50 cartridges of remanufactured .22 Hornet ammunition organized in a green plastic storage case. The collection includes mixed headstamps from several major manufacturers, indicating that these are remanufactured or handloaded rounds. Verbatim markings observed on the cartridge bases include W-W SUPER 22 HORNET, W-W 22 HORNET, R-P 22 HORNET, and FRONTIER 22 HORNET, which identify brass from Winchester-Western, Remington-Peters, and Frontier respectively. A single loose round positioned on top of the storage grid features a copper-jacketed projectile with a red polymer tip, while the cartridges in the tray display a variety of projectile types including soft point and hollow point designs. The brass casings show signs of previous use and varying levels of surface tarnish. The rounds are held in a 50-round capacity plastic tray within a hinged green polymer box.
Condition report:
The brass cases are in good condition for remanufactured components, displaying light tarnish and minor surface wear but no signs of significant corrosion or structural failure. Primers are consistently seated across the various manufacturers. The projectiles are clean and free of lead oxidation. The green plastic storage case remains fully functional with a working latch and no cracks. This lot is sold as live ammunition.
