Sold for: $80
Description
This Beeman S1 is a single-shot break-barrel air rifle chambered in .177 caliber (4.5mm). The rifle is configured with a blued steel barrel and receiver mated to a finished wood stock featuring a checkered pistol grip and a raised cheekpiece. The barrel is equipped with a hooded front sight and a micro-adjustable rear iron sight, and the receiver includes an integrated dovetail rail for optics mounting. A black rubber recoil pad is fitted to the butt of the stock. Key markings include the stamped designation Beeman S1 on the receiver top. The left side of the breech block is marked verbatim MADE IN SPAIN, Cal. 4,5 (.177) next to a pentagon containing the letter F, the model designation 44-1C, and the serial number 50167-95. The right side of the breech block bears a stamped warning stating WARNING: Before using, read Owner’s Manual available Free from BEEMAN PRECISION AIRGUNS, Huntington Beach, California USA. The break-barrel action appears to function correctly, though the rifle has not been function-tested for accuracy or power. Note – As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check.
Condition report:
The metal components show signs of visible age and use, characterized by scattered surface oxidation and light pitting throughout the barrel and on the breech block area. The blued finish remains largely present but shows thinning and silvering at the muzzle and on the receiver edges. The wood stock is in fair to good condition, exhibiting a variety of minor scratches, pressure dings, and localized finish wear, though it remains structurally sound with crisp checkering on the grip. The rubber buttpad is intact and well-seated. The bore has not been inspected.
