Description
This Savage Model 219 is a single-shot, break-action rifle chambered in .30-30 Winchester, designed as a versatile and reliable utility firearm. It features a 26-inch barrel and is fitted with a smooth wood buttstock and matching forend. The metal components exhibit a blued finish that shows significant thinning and wear, particularly on the receiver. The rifle is equipped with a ramped front blade sight and an adjustable rear leaf sight. The buttstock is capped with a black, horizontally-serrated polymer buttplate. Key markings include the barrel stampings SAVAGE ARMS CORPORATION UTICA, NEW YORK U.S.A. MODEL 219 and PROOF TESTED CAL. 30-30. A circled 21 proof mark is visible on the left side of the receiver, and the bottom of the receiver is stamped 219. We have not function-tested this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish on the barrel and receiver shows noticeable thinning, edge wear, and scattered light surface oxidation and freckling. The wood stock and forend remain structurally sound but exhibit scattered minor scratches, dings, and handling marks consistent with field use. The action appears to function correctly with a tight lockup. The bore was not inspected.
