Description
This Mossberg Model 500A is a pump-action shotgun chambered for 12 gauge 2 3/4 and 3-inch shells, featuring a 20.5-inch barrel with a cylinder bore and a brass bead front sight. The firearm is finished in a standard blue on the receiver and barrel. The furniture configuration includes a traditional horizontally-grooved wooden forend and an aftermarket Knoxx-branded black polymer adjustable telescoping buttstock with an integrated textured pistol grip and a recoil-reducing buttpad. A black nylon sling is currently attached via swivels at the magazine cap and the buttstock. Extensive markings on the underside of the receiver include Mossberg MADE IN U.S.A. NORTH HAVEN, CONN. 500A 12 GA. and the serial number K101991 is found on the left side of the receiver. Barrel markings specify CHAMBERED FOR 2 3/4 AND 3 IN. SHELLS – 12 GA. – 20 IN. CYLINDER BORE. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish on the receiver and barrel shows some light surface scratches and handling marks consistent with moderate use. There is visible finish thinning and wear on the magazine tube from the cycling of the pump action. The wooden forend is solid with some minor surface dings, and the synthetic Knoxx stock components are in good condition. The bore appears bright. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm.
