Description
This Smith & Wesson M&P40 is a striker-fired semi-automatic pistol chambered in .40 S&W, featuring a 4.25-inch barrel and a black polymer frame. The firearm is equipped with a black finished stainless steel slide and a fixed three-dot sight system. The polymer frame includes an integral accessory rail and is currently fitted with an aftermarket Hogue rubber slip-on grip sleeve with finger grooves. Extensive markings are visible including the model designation M&P 40 and the manufacturer’s logo on the left side of the slide, while the right side is marked SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MA U.S.A. The top of the barrel hood is stamped 40 S&W, and the serial number HTJ2498 is transcribed from the metal plate on the right side of the frame. This pistol is accompanied by one magazine, two additional interchangeable backstraps, the original blue plastic hard case with a matching serial number label, a safety and instruction manual, and a red cable lock in its original packaging. The action appears to function correctly, although the firearm has not been live-fire tested. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The pistol is in good overall condition, showing some minor surface wear and light scuffing on the slide\'s finish. The polymer frame remains well-preserved with only minor handling marks. The aftermarket rubber grip sleeve is intact and shows little wear. The bore was not inspected but the external components suggest regular maintenance. The action cycles smoothly and the magazine seats properly. The included factory hard case and accessories are in very good condition.
